AnthonyReviews, where have you been?
"Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up." [5/22/2023]
Greetings followers!
As you may have noticed, I haven’t been sending out these emails in about three months. I’m sorry! A lot has been going on in my life and the AnthonyReviews newsletter has unfortunately fallen by the wayside. But fear not, for you have not been abandoned! In fact, I’ve been working very hard on another project for AnthonyReviews: one I hope you all will enjoy.
Introducing the first AnthonyReviews podcast, Always See Everything.
Hosted by myself and my friend Sean, Always See Everything hopes to watch every single film in the 1500+ movie-deep Criterion Collection. Each week, the podcast reviews, ranks, and riffs on four movies: two are determined by their Criterion release, and two are chosen by myself and my cohost. Each episode is packed with both insightful analysis and hilarious (if sometimes rude) jokes that give the feeling of talking about movies with your buddies, even if you haven’t seen all the films we talk about. It’s completely free and my cohost and I continue to work really hard on it, so please, give it a listen!
As for the future of this newsletter, more posts and reviews are coming soon! Trying to balance work on the podcast with my writing has proven difficult, but I still intend to finish my Reviewing Scorsese series (Taxi Driver has been a difficult beast to tackle) and to keep you updated on new releases when I find time to see them myself. I mean, come on; if I don’t write a Barbie review after my inevitable fiftieth viewing in theaters, then what kind of critic am I?
That’s it! Hope you all continue to enjoy AnthonyReviews and please follow the Always See Everything podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
